ADHD Assessments

ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is a neurological condition characterised by difficulties with attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. People with ADHD often struggle with maintaining focus, completing tasks, and managing impulses, which can significantly impact their daily functioning. This assessment is available for clients aged six and above.

Our ADHD Assessment process involves three main sessions:

1. History Taking Session*: A detailed discussion about your developmental history, current symptoms, challenges in daily functioning, and future goals. This helps your psychologist gather essential information to guide your assessment.

2. ADHD Assessment Session:  We use gold-standard assessment tools to evaluate the presence, severity, and impact of ADHD symptoms. This session typically lasts about two hours and may involve input from a close family member, friend or teacher.

3. Report & Feedback Session*: Your psychologist will discuss the results of your assessment in detail and provide a comprehensive report outlining findings, diagnostic conclusions, and recommendations for managing symptoms. We include holistic symptom management recommendations in our reports, ensuring a rounded approach to your health post-diagnosis. This session also includes advice on collaborating with schools or workplaces to support educational and developmental needs.
